The trials are for athletes born in 2016 who want to be part of the Rep Rookie Program in 2025. From this trial, some athletes will be invited to the final selection session or potentially our U12 Representative Trials.
The Rep Rookie program is an introductory program to Representative Basketball. Weekly training sessions and a series of carnivals and 3×3 events, which gives them the opportunity to reach their full potential. Athletes/parents/carers must read the Hornets Handbook before registering for Rep Rookie Trials. All details regarding the selection process, commitment, and requirements are available in the Handbook.
REP ROOKIES Trials are held prior to all open trials for those born in 2016. Following the first Rep Rookie Trial, selected players will be invited to the OPEN TRIALS in November. Others will be selected to attend the second Rep Rookie Trial to be a part of our ‘Rep Rookies’ development team. If invited to the OPEN TRIALS and cut, you are then eligible to attend the second Rep Rookie Trial to be a part of our ‘Rep Rookies’ development team.
This is for 2016 Born children only. No exceptions will be made for younger athletes.
