HORNETS TAKE MELBOURNE

Over the June long weekend, our Hornets representative teams headed down to Melbourne to compete in the National Junior Classic and the Nunawading Tournament.

We are proud of all of our teams and what they achieved over the weekend, all gaining invaluable experience in tournament basketball and bonding as a team.

This years Nunawading Tournament was the largest on record, with 1158 teams from across Victoria and interstate. A massive congratulations to our U18 Girls Green who won their division. Special shout outs to our U14 Boys Green, U16 Girls Red and U18 Boys White who took 2nd place, some by as little as 1 point.

At the Classic, our U12 Girls, U12 Boys, and U16 Boys Premier battled it out against the top teams in the country. Our teams fought hard with our girls finishing in 12th and U16 Boys in 13th and our U12 Boys in 14th.

All teams have learnt a lot in the lead up to the MJL finals and created memories that will last for a lifetime.
