Welcome to Lace Up & Listen, our dedicated Mental Health Week.

Sports are about community, connection, and having each other’s backs. This week, we are taking those values off the court to raise awareness for mental health, encourage life-saving conversations, and raise vital funds for Lifeline. Coinciding with R U OK? Day on Thursday 10 September, this week is a reminder that a simple conversation can make a massive difference.

Throughout the week, we will be selling limited-edition Orange Socks at the stadium. We encourage all players to buy a pair and wear them during their games this week. 100% of the profits will be donated directly to Lifeline to help fund their 24/7 crisis support and suicide prevention services.

Stock is strictly limited, so make sure you grab yours before your game!

Ways you can be involved in our Lace Up & Listen Week include:

DONATE | Make a donation to ensure Lifeline’s services can continue to operate any day, any time, for anyone.

WEAR ORANGE | We encourage all involved in our local competition to raise awareness by wearing ORANGE in the HIVE.

BUY ORANGE SOCKS | Don’t have anything Orange? We have Orange Socks available at both Hills Basketball Stadium & Bernie Mullane Sports Complex, with 100% of profits going to Lifeline.

START A CONVERSATION | Keep an eye out for R U OK? conversation guides in the stadium.

RUOK? DAY COURTS | On Thursday 10 Sep (R U OK? Day) we are opening up our indoor & outdoor courts at Bernie Mullane for FREE from 8am – 4pm. This is an offer to our Local Competition members as a way to create opportunity for connection.

If you or someone you know needs help, please use the following resources:

Let’s look out for each other, lace up, and listen.
