2021 is shaping up to be an amazing year for Hills Basketball Association (HBA). With additional venues, an expanding community and a range of additional programs and competitions, HBA is looking for a number of casual part-time employees.

Applicants need to be both innovative and customer focused, with the skills to work with and communicate to a range of stakeholders.

RECEPTION | Bernie Mullane Sports Complex | Applications Close Monday, 19 April 2021.

LOCATION: Bernie Mullane Sports Complex

STATUS: Casual part-time

SHIFTS AVAILABLE BETWEEN: Mon-Fri 6.30am-5.30pm | Sat 4pm-9pm | Sun 8am-5pm.

REQUIRE: First Aid & CPR Accreditation, Working With Children Check and Driver’s Licence.

KEY AREAS OF MANAGEMENT: Daily reception checklist duties; Casual bookings; Phone calls and general front desk enquiries; First aid and other supplies restocked; Directing competitions paperwork back to relevant departments; Manage storage rooms + file shredding; Maintain Photograph/video database; Maintain Venue Equipment; Maintain Visitor database; Setting up venue based on hirers requirements, Social Media updates (stories, posts & enquiries) * Dedicated shifts available for Media/Film students

STADIUM SUPERVISOR | Hills Basketball Stadium | Applications Close Monday, 19 April 2021.

LOCATION: Hills Basketball Stadium

STATUS: Casual part-time

SHIFTS: Mon-Fri 3.3pm-11pm, Sat 7.30-12.30pm, 12-5.30pm, Sunday 4.30-9.30pm

REQUIRE: First Aid & CPR Accreditation, Working With Children Check and Driver’s Licence.

This role is an integral part of our game day operations for both local & representative competitions but also special events & bookings.

The Stadium Supervisor’s role is to oversee and manage all aspects of game day administration, including but not limited to:

  • set up and pack down of game day equipment
  • collection & payment of fees as required
  • management of players, coaches, volunteers & spectators in accordance with relevant competition rules, by-laws and other governing documents such as HBA Codes of Conduct.

GAME SUPERVISOR | Hills Basketball Stadium | Applications Close Monday, 19 April 2021.

LOCATION: Hills Basketball Stadium or Bernie Mullane Sports Complex

STATUS: Casual part-time

SHIFTS: Sat HBS/BMSC 10.30-4.30pm 

REQUIRE: First Aid & CPR Accreditation, Working With Children Check and Driver’s Licence. Must be AI Level or above Basketball Official.

This role is an integral part of our game day operations for both local & representative competitions.

The Game Supervisor’s role is to oversee and manage all aspects of game day administration, including but not limited to:

  • managing game day officials as required
  • management of players, coaches, volunteers & spectators in accordance with relevant competition rules, by-laws and other governing documents such as HBA Codes of Conduct.
  • Assist to disseminate information regarding rule changes, interpretation and mechanics of basketball refereeing to appropriate people, including referees, players, coaches and managers.
  • Provide regular informal feedback to referees regarding referee development
