WINTER 2021 COMPETITION UPDATE

Winter 21 Local Competition Cancelled

Thank you to all teams who were part of our Winter 2021 season. What was set to be our biggest ever season with our expansion into the recently renovated Bernie Mullane Sports Complex was obviously ambushed by the pandemic. Sadly, Team Managers have now received an email officially advising what we’ve all realised by now, that the Winter season has been cancelled.

While it is disappointing that we have had to shut our doors again due to the lockdown, we hope that our zoom sessions, social campaigns and especially the Olympics and Paralympics have kept you entertained and passionate for the return of Basketball! We hope all our community is staying safe and we know that you will be ready to go as soon as we can all return to this great game of Basketball.

We’re pleased to advise that we have come up with an option that recognises the loyalty of Winter comp teams and guarantees a spot in the coming Summer season, which will start as soon as we are permitted to run competitions. As always, we will also offer refunds for those teams which don’t choose to rollover. Options regarding rollover/refunds have been sent to team managers and they are asked to discuss the options with team members or Club and advise how they would like to move forward. Summer 21/22 Local Competition Entry Update

Winter team managers have been sent information on how to make it as easy as possible to beat the rush and automatically enter your team straight into our Summer 21/22 Competition. This comp will start as soon as we are able to safely open our doors and are permitted to run competitions.

For any team that did not compete in our Winter season but would like to participate in our Summer season, team entry dates are yet to be finalised. As soon as we are given approval by the State Government to recommence competition, we will advise the new team entry date via our website so stay tuned or click here to register your interest.
