ROUND 1 | NSW WARATAH LEAGUE
Although the season is suspended, the Round 1 of the NSW Waratah League saw our 2020 Hills Hornets pack out the HIVE.
WARATAH 1 WOMEN VS COE | LOST 58 – 67
Our Waratah 1 Women started the season in a tough battle against the new team to the competition, the Centre of Excellence. Our women’s team gave a strong performance to keep in close distance from the COE for the first half, but after the third quarter it looked like the COE would run away with the game. However the mighty Hornets came into the fourth quarter with a new found energy and fought back to bring the game within single digits. Taylah Cottees gave an outstanding performance, with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks.
WARATAH 1 MEN VS COE | LOST 50 – 118
The Centre of Excellence Men proved too strong for our Waratah 1 Men. Paul Brotherson lead the Waratah 1 Men with 23 points. Our Men will be picking themselves back up and dusting off the loss for the remainder of the season.
