PLAYER REGISTRATION UPDATE

The Hills Hornets registration options and fees are adapting in 2026, following changes introduced by Basketball NSW. A new registration system will be in place from 1 April 2026. Please read the below information to ensure you select the correct membership type.

WHAT ARE THE CHANGES

Fee Adjustment

Basketball NSW has updated it’s pricing model for 2026. Therefore, HBA Registration fees have been adjusted accordingly.

6 Month Options

Members can now select either a 6-month or 12-month registration.

Participants must select registration term carefully. Once purchased, the selected registration period (6-month or 12-month) cannot be extended by paying a pro-rata difference after expiry. If you wish to continue beyond the expiry date, a new registration must be purchased at the applicable rate at that time.

Expiry Date Adjustment (Creeping Rule)

To ensure fairness and consistency in registration periods, the following expiry date adjustment rule applies to all renewal payments:

Late Payment
Where a renewal payment is received after the current registration expiry date, the new registration expiry date will reset to the actual date payment is received. Example: If a registration is due on 15 June and payment is received on 18 June, the new expiry date will be 18 June of the applicable term.
Early Payment
Where a renewal payment is received prior to the current registration expiry date, the original expiry date will remain unchanged and the new term will commence from that existing expiry date. Example: If a registration is due on 15 June and payment is received on 10 June, the expiry date will remain 15 June of the applicable term.
