HORNETS TAKE MELBOURNE

Over the June long weekend, our Hornets representative teams headed down to Melbourne to compete in the National Junior Classic and the Nunawading Tournament.

We are proud of all of our teams and what they achieved over the weekend, all gaining invaluable experience in tournament basketball and bonding as a team.

A massive congratulations to our 18 Boys 1, who won the Nunawading tournament with a decisive 14 point win. Special shout out to Jakeb Duffy, who was selected as the MVP of the Grand Final.

Our 12 Girls 1 also qualified through to the Grand Final of the Nunawading tournament, where they earned a very admirable second place.

At the Classic, our U14 Boys and U18 Girls Premier battled it out against the top teams in the country and proved themselves, coming 15th and 16th place respectively.

All teams have learnt a lot in the lead up to the MJL finals and created memories that will last for a lifetime.
