The rules of 3X3 are very simple and designed to make it a fast, spectacular and exciting game to watch. The non-stop music, prizes and energy creates an amazing atmosphere for both athlete and spectator.

HILLS BASKETBALL ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE JUNIOR HORNETS 3X3 STREET HUSTLE EVENT WILL NOW BE HELD OVER TWO DAYS. U9s – U13s on DAY 1 and U15s – U19’s DAY 2. Allowing for more teams, fun and games!

How many players can play on my team?
You can have anywhere between 3-4 players to enter a team.
If a player is running late, games can be started with a minimum of 2 players.

Do I need to provide scoretable?
Yes. Each team needs to supply 1 x scorebench person for each game.

What size basketball is used?
Under 9’s & Under 11’s use a size 5 Basketball
All other age groups use the official FIBA 3×3 Ball

When will I receive the draw?
Each tournament draw will be emailed to all team managers by 5pm the day before their relevant tournament

Where is the tournament played?
Hills Basketball Stadium | Fred Caterson Reserve, Caterson Drive, Castle Hill

I’m a Representative Development Player (DP), am I considered a Representative player?
No. DP’s are not classified as a Rep player for our 3X3 Tournaments

I accidentally registered in the wrong age group, what do I do?
Please email competitions (3×3@hillshornets.com.au) ASAP to move to the correct age group

I don’t have a team – can I register as an individual and be placed in a team?
Unfortunately, we don’t have the capacity to create and enter teams of individuals. If you are looking for a team, let us know and we can pass on your details if any teams let us know that they are looking for extra players

AGE GROUPS ARE BASED ON FIBA 3X3 RULES

Under 9’s – players born in 2018 or 2019 or later | Boys & Girls categories | Local Grade only

Under 11’s – players born in 2016 or 2017 or later | Boys & Girls categories | Representative & Local Grade* available

Under 13’s – players born in 2014 or 2015 or later | Boys & Girls categories | Representative & Local Grade* available

Under 15’s – players born in 2012 or 2013 or later | Boys & Girls categories | Representative & Local Grade* available

Under 17’s – players born in 2010 or 2011 or later | Boys & Girls categories | Representative & Local Grade* available

Under 19’s – players born in 2008 or 2009 or later | Boys & Girls categories | Representative & Local Grade* available

 

*Maximum 4 players per team. *If more than 1 representative player in a junior team, the team must nominate in Representative Grade

** Players can play UP an age group.

Junior Teams $115 per team. 

Manager (18yrs+) must sign team entry form. Each team must provide a scorer.

Please Note: all players will need to have a valid Hustle Pass. A $20 pass is valid for 12 months.

Official Hustle uniforms are NOT required for this event.

Teams are however, encouraged to wear matching jerseys and a neutral or matching colour shorts. Shorts must have no pockets.

3X3 Basketballs will be supplied.
