SHOES 4 PLANET EARTH is an Australian based non-for-profit organisation started in 2009 by people who love to run and want to give something back. Hornets conduct drives biennially, with the next event to be held in 2023.
 
Where do your shoes go? Once your shoes are received we package and send them to homeless shelters, youth and female crisis centre, indigenous community sporting groups, orphanages, churches, flood and other disaster victims, African communities and many, many more.

PINK SOCKS DAY is an annual event conducted by Hills Basketball Association to raise funds for the Westmead Children’s Hospital and awareness for our I AM A GIRL program. We encourage all members to wear pink socks, those that don’t have pink socks are welcome to purchase Hornets I AM A GIRL socks at the stadium $15. Also an opportunity to donate a gold coin into our charity buckets over the weekend.

VINNIES CEO SLEEPOUT is conducted each year by the St Vincent de Paul Society, to raise awareness of the growing issue of homelessness. It challenges business and community leaders to sleep rough for one night and raise funds to combat the issue. Each night, tens of thousands of Australians sleep without a roof over their heads and HBA CEO, Steve Burke joins each year to raise funds for people experiencing homelessness.

IRENE GLEESON FOUNDATION | At IGF we believe that every child is entitled to clean water, nutrition, health care, education and protection. IGF works to address these needs of vulnerable children in Kitgum, northern Uganda.
