2023 NBL1 WOMEN’S COACHING OPPORTUNITY | APPLICATIONS CLOSE 14TH OCT 5PM

The Hills Basketball Association (HBA) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Head Coach for its NBL1 Women’s team for 2023. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading Hills Basketball’s NBL1 Women’s Program for a 1-year appointment with an additional 2-years offered after a successful review of year 1. 

The Coach will report directly to the HBA Representative Manager and the Representative Development Manager. The Coach will be required to work with the HBA’s administration staff and the junior basketball program. The coach will exhibit a passion for women’s basketball, have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to develop athletes and coaches, and have a proven background in people management. Remuneration will be awarded based on the successful applicant’s experience. The successful applicant will understand the importance of the Senior Hornets program to the entire HBA and be prepared to provide assistance in the HBA where appropriate.

Applicants will display the following skills and attributes:

• Demonstrated experience and passion for developing athletes at an elite level.

• Proven ability to communicate, train and lead in a professional manner.

• A background in playing or coaching basketball at Senior Elite Levels.

• Have a high level of technical and tactical knowledge of basketball.

• Hold a current Working with Children (WWC)Card.

• Level 2 (NCAS Association Coach Accreditation).

• Work closely with HBA’s Youth Team, U18, and U16 junior programs.

• Establish, maintain & promote the HBA pathway with our Hornets athletes.

• Provide scout and video feedback to its players during the season.

• Able to attend two weekly training sessions and games on the weekend.

• Provide reviews to players during and end of the season.
