REFEREE COORDINATOR | Full-time position

The Referee Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Hills Basketball Associations referee programs, with a primary focus on administrative tasks and the management of the Green Shirt Referee Program. This role is integral to supporting the development and retention of new referees, providing them with the guidance and opportunities needed to progress their skills and confidence. By fostering an environment of learning and support, this role will help build a strong foundation for the future of refereeing within the Hills Basketball community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordination of referee rostering for location competitions, representative fixtures and external services
  • Management of the Green Shirt Referee Program (T1, T2, AC)
  • Identify and implement development opportunities to enhance referee ability and pathways
  • Maintenance of member disciplinary register and notifications
  • Administration of eLearning platform

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in similar administrative roles
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and supporting initiatives that encourage increased participation.
  • Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to communicate information and recommendations accurately, clearly and succinctly.
  • Energetic and outgoing personality that supports your ability to build effective relationships
  • Qualified Referee – ‘State’ grading highly desirable
  • Qualified Referee Instructor – highly desirable
