Hills Basketball Association (HBA) is a not-for-profit sporting organisation based in the Hills District in Sydney’s north-west. 

Established in 1984, HBA has grown to become the largest and most professional basketball association within New South Wales. With a history of building and  rejuvenating venues, the Association operates nine courts across three venues.


OFFICIALS MANAGER | Applications

The Hills Basketball Association (HBA) needs a successful Administrator to lead their equally successful Officials Program.

HBA is recognised as having the most successful referee program for large associations in New South Wales. Add to this a highly qualified and decorated pool of statisticians and score bench officials, the successful candidate will be joining a great team.

Your ability to manage people, process and environment will be critical to the ongoing success and growth of the service.

HBA has the largest local competition in New South Wales and provides at least 2 referees to each game, referees and officials to numerous representative, school, and special events.

The team consists of 2 part-time / casual administrators and one part time education officer. The program is also supported by volunteers, several Game Supervisors, and referee coaches.

Experience in basketball and knowledge of the laws of the game are an asset. However, the key elements of the role can be performed by someone with great interpersonal skills, ability to listen, influence, think outside the box and a knack for bringing a team together.

SUPERVISORS | Applications

Hills Hornets Basketball Association is a family oriented club undergoing a period of significant growth. To meet those challenges we are seeking staff who have a love for sport, are great communicators, know what great customer service looks like and how to deliver it.

Add to those skills an ability to grasp concepts, learn and work with technologies like EFTPOS our stadium management systems and the standard Microsoft suite then the opportunity may be for you.

We have an ongoing demand for quality people who can fill our Game and Stadium Supervisor roles. Starting  3:30pm and finishing at 11:15pm on weekdays and Sundays and a variety of hours on a Saturday starting at 8:00 am and finishing at 5pm across both our venues (Hills Basketball Stadium and Bernie Mullane Sports Complex).

A perfect source of additional income for stay at home parents, those semi-retired, Uni students and those interested in careers in Sport.

NBL1 GAME DAY ENTHUSIAST | Applications

NBL1 Game Day Enthusiast

Ever been to a Kings or Flames game and enjoyed the hype and entertainment that goes with it? Wondered what it would be like to be a part of it?

Hills Hornets are part of the growing NBL1 East Competition. We pride ourselves on putting on a great show and believe we do exactly that. But like most great things, they take effort and great teamwork to get the show on the road.

We are looking for people who can work as a team, roll into action and set up the stadium ready for the festivities, help with guest services, participate in some of the fun, then pack it all away ready for the next show.
